About the blog
Kyrios Christos is Greek for “Christ the Lord”. Through this blog, I’ll be sharing biblical teachings from a Reformed perspective. I'll also share reflections on false teachings, spiritual movements, and spiritual abuse, which have been competing with, or creeping in the church. I'll also aim to direct to sound biblical resources. Kyrios Christos is essentially an informative and educational blog, calling for spiritual discernment. Above all, it’s there to encourage us to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and come back to the true knowledge of Christ.
About the writer
I’m Audrey, and welcome to my blog! You'll see my posts under my pen name Amy.
I have much to share, and I look forward to penning it down in this blog. Having a certain intellectual curiosity — I love to learn, research, and study… and ask questions! Besides studying the Bible, which I do love, I have an interest in spiritual movements, psychology, and sociology. In the light of God's Word, I find it fascinating to observe the link between human behaviour and spirituality, and how it relates, contends with, or compares to Christianity.
My story
Besides the love for studying and digging into God's Word, there’s a story behind the desire to start blogging. I grew up in France in an emotionally unstable home. Looking for an identity, I dabbled into esoterism and astrology during my youth. In my early 20s, I came to Christ. As a vulnerable and gullible person, I found myself in an Ultra Charistmatic Neo-Apostolic (or NAR) cult-like church system, originally from Africa. I stayed for 10 years altogether, seven of which a full-time staff. Needless to say, besides the religious indoctrination, culture was also a problem.
By His grace, God used a set of circumstances and freed me from it. But it took another seven years to break free from the mental and spiritual bondage. I devoted myself to seeking answers by studying the Bible and other Christian resources. I finally came to terms with the reality of the deceit and the spiritual manipulation coming from this false Christian movement. This was a painful, but necessary, reality check. The Lord used it for my sanctification and for His glory. I eventually gained greatly, and no wonder, there’s much for me to share!

My Profile
I had been blogging since 2007, but obviously from the wrong doctrinal standpoint. I had to give it up and start afresh!
I currently attend an online Reformed bible school, Didachè. I am a website administrator, editor and intermittend author at bibliorama.org, and have provided proofreading and English-to-French translation of Christian resources, including for Ilt’aime. It’s fair to say that I have gained greatly from the English-speaking Christian world, i.e. biblical resources, pastors, teachers, and theologians, which I hope to make available in French.
On a personal note, I have lived in the UK for 20 years now. Married and mum of three, it gets busy at home! Besides blogging, I love photography, nature, a good laugh, good food, and do love a deep conversation... Values I cherish : sincerity, genuineness, unpretentiousness...
