Consubstantial

A Latin term, deriving from the Greek term homoousios, literally meaning “of the same substance”. This term is used to affirm the full divinity of Jesus Christ (having the same substance, essence, or nature as the Father), particularly in opposition to the heresy of Arianism (the denial of his divinity).
